Fort Hunter Park is a haven for nature lovers. Walk along the river, explore the old towpath of the Pennsylvania Canal, or enjoy a self-guided Walking Tour of the historic buildings and estate. The park also features:

  • Two play areas for children
  • Fishing Creek access for birdwatching and nature observation
  • Canoe, kayak, and small boat launches for exploring the river

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed!

Step Into History

Fort Hunter Park is home to the elegantly restored Fort Hunter Mansion, offering visitors a glimpse into life in the 1800s. Guided tours showcase beautifully preserved interiors and share stories of the site’s historical significance, dating back to its role in the French and Indian War.
